Dog on Person Aggression
Has your dog actually bitten a person, especially a child regardless of how serious the bite?
Does your dog have an aversion to certain "types" of people such as children, or maybe just men?
Is your dog from a rescue centre with little knowledge of his / her prior background and showing signs of aggression toward you and your family or visitors?
Does your dog lunge at people in close proximity when in a public environment?
Does your dog snap at cyclists, joggers etc when passing close by?
Does your dog guard food and other objects, maybe even you?
Is your dogs behaviour deteriorating?
Are you less than 100% confident your dog would not bite or attempt to bite another person?
If you can answer YES to any of these questions and the fact that you are reading this page, then you probably need our help in assisting you to reform your dogs behaviour and make it more tolerant of people, especially strangers in a public environment.
We are Full members of the Canine & Feline Behaviour Association, Britains top dog behaviour organisation.
As a dog owner, you have both a moral and legal obligation to ensure the safety of all people in close contact with your dog, whether inside or outside the home and must ensure your dog is safe and under control at all times - see the following legal information: Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 & Control of Dogs Order 1992.
We operate on a home consultation basis whereby we can assess your dog under normal conditions within the home and the area that it would normally be exercised in to see the real scope of the behavioural problems.
All consultations last for approximately 2 to 3 hours to allow a full and thorough assessment of your dog, the domestic arrangement and how you, as pack members interact with the dog.
Using psycholgical reformation techniques that encourage and mirror the way dogs learn naturally such as Operant Conditioning and Classical Conditioning, we do not need to use harsh punitive measures that will likely compound the underlying causes of the problem.
At WildDogz, we treat the causes and not the symptoms though the careful introduction of rules, boundaries and effective leadership combined with positive education and desensitisation for your dog.
Our fees cover the consultation (one or two visit options are available), the behaviour reformation report, both hard copy and electronic copy (by email) and unlimited lifetime telephone and email support for the problem consulted on - you may be able to claim this back from your pet insurance policy, click here for more details.
Should you require additional hands-on support in the reformation of your dogs behaviour or, additional training input, this is charged at our normal hourly training rate.
We DO NOT charge supplements for fuel** or travel time**, our fees are all inclusive excluding the cost of any additional equipment you choose to purchase (at discounted rates) from us.
** Subject to your location being within our normal geographical operating area - please enquire for more details.
Unlike some trainers, we will not promise to "Cure" your dog, simply this cannot be guaranteed and we do not give false promises ~ we have a 100% track record in improving the behaviour of our clients dogs, most without the need for further management.
